General Features

System Modernization

We have been working hard to modernize the look and feel of Clinical Analytics, making it more user-friendly and intuitive without sacrificing any of the analytic power and customization you know and love. You may notice color, font, and other stylistic changes aligning with the rest of Axiom Software. We would love to hear your feedback on these updates!

Now Then

On the default Home Page, you'll notice the Axiom logo has been moved to the upper right corner. The upper left displays the Axiom product name (Clinical Analytics). Clicking either of these from anywhere in the application will return you to this page.

New Top Menu

  • Clicking the 3-line icon in the upper left corner will open a dropdown. From here, you can access any of the Clinical Analytics applications you have access to, including Documentation. The News link will return you to the default home page.
  • Clicking the circle with your initials in the upper right corner allows you to access your account settings or sign out of Clinical Analytics.
  • Clicking the lock icon in the upper right corner will open the Encryption Key feature.

Previously, you would need to return to the Home Page to access News, Account Settings, or other applications, but now you can change applications from anywhere in the application.

Now Then

New Favorite Page

Click the heart icon in the upper right to mark a page as your "favorite" or home page. Click the house icon at any time to return to that page.

Now Then

This capability was not available before. Now you can mark your favorite Scorecard or PPE Report, for example, to display as soon as you sign in to Clinical Analytics.

Clicking the question mark will open Documentation in another browser tab.

Section Settings

The Settings boxes at the top of Scorecards sections look a little bit different. The PDF, Customizer, Profiles, and Settings icons, as well as the Scorecard name and period, have been moved onto a new line at the top of your Scorecard for easier reference.

Now Then

New Fusion Charts

Fusion Chart graphics throughout Clinical Analytics have been upgraded, making your reports look cleaner!

Now Then

Axiom DSS Integration

Certain Clinical Analytics measure and benchmark data can now be imported into your Axiom Decision Support Software (DSS) environment to compliment your other analytics.

Documentation Updates

The content and styling of Documentation has been updated to reflect the branding transition to Clinical Analytics. "Peak" references have been removed and replaced, as well as some color and style changes. In coming releases, you will also see updates to the screenshots throughout Documentation to reflect style changes. Thank you for your patience with this reconstruction process!

DRG Updates

The grouping software for APR-DRGs and MS-DRGs has been updated. Discharges on or after October 1, 2019 will be assigned DRGs according to Version 37; previous encounters will retain their DRG assignments. These updates add new codes and update existing codes, but do not remove any retired codes. Retired codes are retained for their value to historical data.

Measure Updates

HCAHPS Adjustments

Adjusted HCAHPS measures now include the adjustment for self-rated mental health, according to the CMS specifications provided in the Patient Mix Adjustment table. Adjustments for these measures include: response percentile (how quickly the survey was returned), Service Line, Survey Mode (phone, mail, IVR), and patient demographics (education level, self-rated health, self-rated mental health, primary languages, age, gender). See CAHPS Measures in Documentation for further details.
